poached eggs with carrots and parsley
julienne carrots and saute in butter. season with thyme, salt and pepper. remove from heat and toss in finely chopped parsley, place two poached eggs on top, and serve in a bowl with a chuck of baguette from Balthazar*.
I like food. No wait, I like like food. Because of this, I like making food. Since I am not good at following directions and don't like being told what to do, I don't follow recipes. That's not to say that any food prepared here is completely original, I have eaten food in restaurants and I have also seen food prepared on TV. It is with this base that I cook and experiment. If you'd like to learn how to prepare something the correct way, I cannot help you. Instead, this blog exists as a record of the things I have made, and the ways I have made them. That's it - enjoy.
